Now that you got your hands on your very own cryptocurrency, its time to store them somewhere.
There are two types of wallets available, one is a software wallet that you download to your computer and the other is a hardware wallet. Looking at software wallets, you can search google for some but my personal favourite is Exodus. You can download your own copy here.
Hardware wallets are great and very secure but it comes with a prices tag. I would however urge you to get one as soon as your finances allow.
Exodus does offer an in-app exchange to all supported currencies but can’t get your cryptocurrencies into local Rand’s or Rand’s into cryptocurrencies.
My favourite local company to deal with (and to get my Bitcoin into Rand’s) is Luno Wallet.
You can buy Bitcoin and Ethereum directly from most South Africa bank accounts.
